This course is designed for graduate students that will need to use statistics as part of their research career, but assumes very little prior experience.
Emphasis is placed on understanding the assumptions and concepts behind standard statistical tests and being able to correctly interpret computer results.
All classroom analysis is carried out using R, a free open-source data analysis language that is used by researchers and analysts around the world.
Topics covered include: Sampling, Probability, Central Limit Theorem, t-tests, analysis of variance, and simple linear regression.
The notes I’ve developed for this class are available through my GitHub site and I strongly encourage people to submit error reports and expand upon these notes.
